WIMAR is run by a dedicated team of volunteers to further the diversity and inclusion agenda.
Founded in 2013, Women in Mining and Resources Singapore (WIMAR SG) is a growing community that provides networking, mentoring and professional development opportunities to both women and men in the mining and resource industry in Singapore.
We connect women and men to become advocates of change in the ever-changing mining and resource sector. We inspire women from all backgrounds to challenge the status quo and become leaders in a traditionally male dominated industry. Together we progress through the exchange of out-of-the-box thinking, inspiration from role models, and innovative inclusion and diversity practices.
Our vision is to be a network of women and men committed to the progression of women and the local community in the Singapore mining and natural resource sector.
Our strategy is to support progression by providing a platform to access knowledge on career paths, thought leadership, mentoring and access to role models.
The sector attracts, develops, and advances women and the local community in Singapore.
Mentored women are advancing faster, are more productive and are successfully navigating their company’s culture.
Members possess an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset when navigating the progression of their careers in the changing world.
Organisations are leveraging I&D data, knowledge and best practices when shaping their I&D friendly policies.
