“You can’t improve what you don’t measure”.
In 2022/23, WIMAR conducted a survey with the support of Enterprise Singapore, SMU, NTU, NUS, and several other educational institutions. The purpose of this inaugural Young Talent Perception Survey is to establish a baseline understanding of young talent’s work preferences and perceptions of the mining and resources sector in Singapore. We believe by doing so, we can start moving the dial on attracting young and diverse talent into the industry to drive sustainable performance and growth.
The insights gleaned from the survey will provide WIMAR’s member companies with more clarity in what the young talent in Singapore is looking for and help inform their branding, outreach and recruitment strategy. We hope to raise local students’ awareness of the evolving career opportunities available in the industry and shift their perceptions of its attractiveness by highlighting what it has to offer.
